Overview of Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic inflammatory disorder. It causes dryness and blotchy patches on the skin. The primary trigger of atopic dermatitis is unknown, but it's believed to be a combination of inherited factors and environmental triggers. People with atopic dermatitis often experience outbreaks during times of anxiety.
